Vintage Mannequin

Hello Sweet Blogging Friends.

A new week and the last week of October!
Yikes!
Time is going way too quickly.

I was minding my own business and was walking around the French Market and this sweet girl called to me.

She is vintage and so awesome.

I love her metal cage skirt and her wheels on the base.
I cannot wait to find just the right french style apron for her.
She will be taking up residency in my kitchen.

Don't you love when something grabs your attention and you just cannot resist.

Any of you that know of any sites that make farmhouse, french style aprons let me know.
I have been on Etsy looking at a few options.

I think it needs to be vintage and not take too much away from her.

Have a lovely week and fun Halloween.

Our little goblins here in Illinois are going to have to cover up their cute costumes with their winter coats.
Ugh Ugh Ugh!!!
We might get snow over the next few days too.
Hardly had much of a fall to love.
Hugs,
Kris

  1. Well, a hearty "Bonjour, Mademoiselle" to this gorgeous French mannequin!!!!! You are right; a vintage apron or at least one in worn linen would be perfect for her!! You always score my friend. Here in Minneapolis, our goblins will also need to disguise themselves in parkas and beanies because the big chill is coming!!

  2. Kris, I love your new find. I think she will fit into any room. Oh dear girl, I am not ready for snow. I just can not believe that spring, summer and fall are gone. Stay warm and safe. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. Kris, I love your French mannequin style! You can tell by her svelte waistline, cage and wheels that she's a beauty. Have you tried SoSweetMagnoliasFarm on Etsy? They could probably make you a custom apron from vintage textiles based on what you tell them you want. They're on Etsy.
Trick or Treat here is bound to be a bust - the weather is supposed to be crap and the Mountaineers play in a televised game in the evening. Poor kids, they're bound to get the short stick.

Going to rain here for Halloween.

  16. Oh she is so pretty! Yes she needs to be dressed up all vintagey... some other blog I follow has a vintage mannequin and now for the life of me, I can't remember which one! I've always wanted one.. but don't know where in the world she would "live" as not a bit of floor space anywhere in this house that isn't covered with some piece of furniture! Will be excited to see what she gets to wear! Marilyn

  17. I can't wait to see the mannequin dressed up in the apron you find and I know it will look just beautiful. I can't believe they predict snow for you this week. I remember about seven years ago we had snow for Halloween! Take care and be careful. Enjoy Halloween.
